Dear Doctor/Colleague:

I am an Emergency Physician practicing on the east side of King County, Washington. I am writing this letter to introduce you to Dr. John Wisman.

For the past five years, I have been referring patients to Dr. Wisman who have been injured in motor vehicle accidents who suffer from back, neck and other musculoskeletal problems. My patients who have been treated by Dr. Wisman had had only the most positive remarks regarding his care. Most patients will benefit from a source of conservative, nonsurgical treatment. Data from Dr. Hoving et al (2002), Annals of Internal Medicine show manual therapy scored better than physical therapy on all outcome measures. Patients receiving manual therapy and physical therapy each resulted in statistically significant less analgesic use.

Dr. Wisman is an exceptional chiropractor. He is thorough and comprehensive in his examination and diagnosis of patients. Should any of his patients have evidence of neurologic impingement, they are appropriately referred for further evaluation. Not only does he practice traditional, non-rotational chiropractic manipulative therapy, but he also emphasizes exercises, rehabilitation and his comprehensive physical therapy program. Most importantly, his patients are impressed by his thoroughness in answering all of their questions and conveying complicated medical information in an easy to understand manner. In fact, five years ago, I referred my wife who has degenerative spine disease after she failed to respond to traditional therapies and she has been very satisfied.

In conclusion, I fully recommend Dr. Wisman as a trusted and experienced chiropractor and truly believe your patients will thank you for their referral.

Coming from an allopathic medical mind-set, I was especially skeptical of chiropractors. It was only after sustaining a whiplash injury and suffering debilitating neck pain, headaches, and dizziness with limited neck mobility for three months following, that I turned to chiropractic care. Taking controlled-substances for chronic pain relief was not a desirable option for me, so finding a health-care professional that could treat the underlying problem seemed logical. Dr. Wisman restored the mobility in my neck and cured the pain naturally with spinal adjustments. He is the chiropractor, with whom other chiropractors consult and refer their own patients.

In April of 2008 I began to suffer with constant debilitating pain and numbness in my left shoulder, bicep, elbow and hand. My family doctor prescribed medicine and ordered an MRI of my neck. The MRI revealed that I had disc herniations at C3-C4, C4-C5, C5-C6 and especially at C6-C7 causing spinal cord and foraminal compression. The surgeon was positive I would require a 4 vertebra fusion surgery to get better. He stated that the compression was so severe that my spinal cord was “banana” shaped. He discouraged me from trying chiropractic stating it wouldn’t work. I decided to try it while I waited for the surgery. I had conservative spinal adjustments and non-surgical decompression at Bellevue Chiropractic . In a matter of a few appointments I began to feel a lot better. In 11 visits almost all of the numbness was gone and I was 95% pain free. Today, as of September 2008, I am fully recovered and haven’t had any pain for months!

Look no further, go to Dr. Wisman

I truly now believe that GOOD chiropractic care really works and feel extremely fortunate to come across Dr. Wisman! I have since referred a friend and my brother, both also very satisfied (and they both have major issues with their backs). I just felt compelled to put this review up in hopes someone looking for a good chiropractor comes across this and decides to visit him! Look no further go to him!! He is without a doubt a great provider!!

Over 20 years ago I first went to Dr. Wisman and remember being so amazed at the ‘motion x-ray’ – how much better to tell what a patient needs that just looking at a ‘still’ x-ray. I was a very active person, did lots of dancing and worked hours at a computer. Both activities resulted in back issues. Dr. Wisman and his clinic have kept me flexible and pain-free all these years – at 65 that is very important.

Many years ago when I recommended Dr. Wisman to my grown son, he was a bit skeptical. But after having the motion x-ray and Dr. Wisman correctly identifying two areas of pain from previous injuries and giving the approximate time of those injuries, my son became atrue believer! Later we even added the grandson to our regular visits. I strongly recommend chiropractic care and HIGHLY recommend the Bellevue Chiropractic as THE place to go!!!!! The excellent care given by Dr. John Wisman and Dr. Cherylena Simmonds are easily matched by the kindness and efficiency of the whole reception and staff.
