Good Health

Isn’t that what everybody wants? High energy, mental clarity, full function, and absence of disease well into old age. If that’s what you want, the FirstLine Therapy program can help.

What is FirstLine Therapy?

Firstline Therapy is a “therapeutic lifestyle program.” Which means that this program will help you live your life in a way that improves your health. A “therapeutic lifestyle” means making choices every day that will enhance your health and help prevent disease, enabling you to achieve a full, healthy life.

Based on Science

Firstline Therapy is based on extensive scientific research demonstrating that many of the chronic diseases associated with aging can be prevented or even treated by adopting a healthy lifestyle:

  • Heart disease
  • High blood pressure
  • Stroke
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Cancer
  • Diabetes
  • High cholesterol
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Osteoporosis
  • Alzheimer’s disease

Recommended for Health

A therapeutic lifestyle program is now recommended by leading health organizations as a primary therapy for individuals with many of the health problems such as:

  • Fatigue
  • Hormone Imbalance
  • Stress-related symptoms (PCOS)
  • And many other conditions related to overweight and obesity

Nutrition and Lifestyle

Adopting habits of living that are healthy may delay the onset of illness in old age-and increase your years of goof health and full function. FirstLine Therapy will put you on the path to optimal health through a combination of balanced eating, regular exercise, stress reduction, and appropriate nutritional supplementation.

What to expect?

On your first visit, Ann Swanson will analyze your personal and family health history, appropriate test results, current lifestyle and state of health, and clarify your individual health goals. She will then guide you through a comprehensive, highly -individualized, step-by-step program to help you achieve those goals.

In most cases, it is recommended that you fast and follow specific directions for this appointment, so that Ann can run what is called a BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis). BIA is a method of assessing your “body composition”-the measurement of body fat in relation to lean body mass. It is an integral part of health and nutrition assessment.

What is a BIA? And why do you need one?

Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis or Bioimpedance Analysis (BIA) is a method of assessing your “body composition”–the measurement of body fat in relation to lean body mass. It is an integral part of a health and nutrition assessment.

Why is body Composition Important to My Health?

Research has shown that body composition is directly related to health. A normal balance of body fat is associated with good health and longevity. BIA fosters early detection of an improper balance in your body composition, which allows earlier intervention and prevention. BIA also provides a measurement of fluid and body mass that can be a critical assessment tool for your current state of health.

BIA also serves to measure your progress as you work to improve your health. With your BIA results, we can recommend a personalized dietary plan, nutritional supplements, and exercise to help you support optimal health and well-being for a lifetime.
