In April of 2008 I began to suffer with constant debilitating pain and numbness in my left shoulder, bicep, elbow and hand. My family doctor prescribed medicine and ordered an MRI of my neck. The MRI revealed that I had disc herniations at C3-C4, C4-C5, C5-C6 and especially at C6-C7 causing spinal cord and foraminal compression. The surgeon was positive I would require a 4 vertebra fusion surgery to get better. He stated that the compression was so severe that my spinal cord was “banana” shaped. He discouraged me from trying chiropractic stating it wouldn’t work. I decided to try it while I waited for the surgery. I had conservative spinal adjustments and non-surgical decompression at Bellevue Chiropractic Group. In a matter of a few appointments I began to feel a lot better. In 11 visits almost all of the numbness was gone and I was 95% pain free. Today, as of September 2008, I am fully recovered and haven’t had any pain for months!

I truly now believe that GOOD chiropractic care really works and feel extremely fortunate to come across Dr. Wisman! I have since referred a friend and my brother, both also very satisfied (and they both have major issues with their backs). Over 20 years ago I first went to Dr. Wisman and remember being so amazed at the ‘motion x-ray’ – how much better to tell what a patient needs that just looking at a ‘still’ x-ray.  I was a very active person, did lots of dancing and worked hours at a computer.  Both activities resulted in back issues.  Dr. Wisman and his clinic have kept me flexible and pain-free all these years – at 65 that is very important.

Many years ago when I recommended Dr. Wisman to my grown son, he was a bit skeptical.  But after having the motion x-ray and Dr. Wisman correctly identifying two areas of pain from previous injuries and giving the approximate time of those injuries, my son became atrue believer!  Later we even added the grandson to our regular visits.  I strongly recommend chiropractic care and HIGHLY recommend the Bellevue Chiropractic Group as THE place to go!!!!!  The excellent care given by Dr. John Wisman and Dr. Cherylena Simmonds are easily matched by the kindness and efficiency of the whole reception and staff.

I like to think I am a fairly healthy guy and have always been a skeptic when it came to chiropractic care. I put my small lower back pains aside for years until one day it just kind of just locked up. Dr. Wisman came highly recommended from a trusted friend. I was told about his "video fluoroscopy" x-ray machine to help determine exact issues (made sense to me). With this and his esteemed reputation I had an appointment in a few days.

The front office staff was extremely helpful, welcoming, and the scheduling was VERY accommodating. Dr. Wisman is that type of person you immediately feel at ease with, this coupled along with his knowledgeable professionalism I felt in good hands. He thoroughly interpreted my x-rays and video fluoroscopy results before even attempting to adjust my back. Immediately after my adjustment the sharp pain I had for almost a week was gone!! To me it was really miraculous to felt like me again. He let me know that my issue really was not that serious and would probably only require 2-3 weeks to really fully correct. Sure enough only a few weeks later it was, he said I could just come in as I felt necessary. It only happened only once again after a backpacking trip but he adjusted me right back into place. I really respect how honest he was with my issue and how he educated me on the cause.

WOW ~ Perfect Chiropractor!

I began suffering from migraines at the age of 37 yrs old. Throughout the last 15 yrs I have tried may types of prescribed medications and have made many trips to the emergency room at the hospital. My Dr. also recommended that I try hormone therapy as well, which I chose not to do because of the reported negative effects from studies that had been done on women in peri, and post menopause. Around 4 years ago my father had been diagnosed with mesothelioma, a very painful lung cancer for which there is no cure. It was at that time that I met Dr. Wisman who was taking care of my Father's chiropractic needs which were very acute due to extreme muscle tightness caused by his chronic pain. Dr. Wisman used a motion x-ray to see exactly where the pain was coming from therefore causing very little discomfort in the process of spinal, neck and skull correction, helping immensely with his pain relief. It was at that time that I began seeing him for help with the migraines. I rarely have them anymore and if I feel one coming on, I call and his office fits me right in and the headache is usually gone either when I leave the office or by the end of a couple of hours without the need of any medication. He has also helped me with the needed supplements for healthy bones and cartilage along with detox in preparation for weight loss which helped me finely be able to loose the 20 pounds that I had gained over a period of 10 years. Dr. Wisman has greatly improved the quality of life for me and my whole family. His entire office staff is truly kind, professional and dedicated to the well being of all of his patients. Dr. John Wisman is a Dedicated Healer!

As an 'older' person who had never had any symptoms, I was astonished to learn (after being totaled) that I had residual childhood spinal and neck damage, which would have caused enormous pain and difficulty in another 10 to 15 years, but was fully revealed by Dr. John Wisman's sophisticated x-ray and diagnostic skills after the accident. Who knew that chiropractic care is at least as requisite as family practice; especially to those of us mostly in excellent health~~!! ?? After Dr. Wisman put Humpty Dumpty back together again, I have continued with preventive visits at least once a month; he is now precluding arthritis and keeping my spine fully adjusted, and balancing hips, also, when they get uneven and cause one leg to be shorter than the other . . . which I've only recently learned is a fairly common human dynamic; frequently causes a most unpleasant 'sciatica type' leg pain. It is not surprising that Dr. John Wisman was voted Chiropractor of the Year by over 2000 colleagues just a few years ago . . . I'd travel from the moon to keep an appointment with him!! ~jsh

I learned about Bellevue Chiropractic Group after being referred to Dr Wisman by a friend. My prior chiropractor experience at Wellness One was so bad I had almost given up on them altogether but my pain was still bothering me.  I originally made an appointment to see Dr Wisman but with the way scheduling works, I ended up working with Dr. Simmonds instead.  There isn't anything wrong with Dr. Wisman, he's very friendly and quite knowledgeable but I'm happy I have Dr.Simmonds. Her knowledge is impressive, she seeks out to update her knowledge to keep up with her field, she knows the bones of the spine just by touch, and she's very gentle. Also, she's really friendly.

Since I've been going to Dr. Simmonds, I have more movement in my hip and no lower back pain--something I thought I was going to deal with for the rest of my life as a result from a bad injury in the 7th grade. I have more movement in my back.

But BCG isn't just great because they have competent doctors, the office staff are very professional and delightful.

Finally, the reason for the five stars aside from the great staff and amazing doctors, their billing policies are what keep me able to afford to go.

They're not an in-network provider and could charge me whatever my insurance doesn't cover. But they don't. I still only pay my copay and that's it. The experience from start to finish on every visit is always stellar.

I started to feel pain in my lower back, neck and shoulders about 3 years ago. A friend told me that Dr.Wisman will be able to help me, but I wasn’t convinced that seeing a chiropractor will help my condition. I simply took pills to relieve the pain.This year (2009), the pain got worse, I can’t even bend down to tie my shoes. My friend once again told me that a Thai monk who saw Dr. Wisman before moving back to Thailand and wants to come back to America just to see this incredible chiropractor again! This time, I really wondered,what is it about Dr. Wisman that could make the Thai monk want to come back just to see a chiropractor? I decided to schedule my first appointment with Dr. Wisman. During the first visit, he told me that the first thing he will do is to make my headache go away. Really? I asked myself, I have been living with occasional headaches for over 10 years and a chiropractor is going to help me? Unbelievable! It really is unbelievable, after 7-8 visits, my headache is completely gone and my back and shoulder pains are getting much better than before. Now I can live a normally life free of pain! I have full energy all day long and I can enjoy more activities everyday.My brain stays fresh and focused all day. I can now enjoy every day of my life and life a better lifestyle.

I was referred to Bellevue Chiropractic Group for a lower back pain. I was impressed with the moving x-ray procedure. Dr. Wisman immediately pinpointed the problem in my lower back. The thing that really impressed me was how he knew I was having headaches and TMD-jaw problems without me saying a word. He figured it out using the results of my moving x-rays! FREE OF HEADACHES!

By far the best experience I have had in a doctors office in years! I had been suffering with chronic headaches for more than 35 years. I have seen every specialty under the sun-both traditional and alternative medicine. I was on an array of pain medicines and had lost all hope of finding a cure. I had tears in my eyes when Dr. Wisman described my headaches to me based on the results of my moving x-ray findings (Video fluoroscopy). I knew right then that my health was about to do a complete turn around. Within 3 weeks my headaches were gone. I am off all medications and feel better than I have in 35 years!
